CAVE CITY, Ky. – The City of Cave City announced a railroad crossing closure Thursday. According to a social media post, CSX Transportation is closing the railroad crossing at Broadway Street and Mammoth Cave. The closure is due to a mechanical failure, according to the post. HARTFORD, Ky. – According to a social media post, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office arrested 63-year-old Clinton Allen, of Beaver Dam, on May 25 following an investigation that began in January 2026.
