According to a uniform citation, at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday night, Bowling Green Police Department officers were located in the 5100 block of Veterans Memorial Lane when they heard a loud crash.
Authorities say a white passenger vehicle then drove by, turning onto Clay Street.
Police say they found several street signs broken from a cement barrier and scattered reflective pillars where they heard the crash take place.
In addition, police say there were pieces of a white bumper all over the roadway.
Authorities say dispatch stated a crash had occurred only blocks away off of Clay Street and Ida Drive.
Police say dispatch further stated a white passenger vehicle had struck a tree.
Authorities say they located the vehicle that had hit a tree and its driver, identified as 46-year-old Muang Win of Bowling Green.
Win was removed from the vehicle. Authorities say he smelled of alcoholic beverages and was unsteady on his feet.
Authorities further stated Win stated he had consumed “a couple bottles of beer.”
After EMS examined Win, authorities say they conducted Standard Field Sobriety Testing on Win.
