BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society is announcing a benefit concert as part of the “Rockin’ the Blues for Rescues” tour.

Organizers say the concert will take the stage at La Gala on Circus Square in downtown Bowling Green on Saturday, June 14.

This fundraising event, in partnership with the Kentucky Humane Society, will include music from rock band Top Shelf and blues legend Tee dee Young to provide 100% of ticket sales to support the shelter’s life-saving mission.

Hart County’s high energy rock group, Top Shelf, will ignite the stage at 7 p.m.

Organizers say the band gives 100% of net ticket proceeds from all of its performances directly to animal advocacy groups, a shared passion that drives the band’s mission to bring shows across the United States.

The Rockin’ for Rescues Tour is presented by Studle Financial Services.

Following Top Shelf, Lexington native and Blues Hall of Famer Tee Dee Young will treat audiences to a blues performance. With 54 years of experience, organizers say Young’s guitar and vocals have hit the stage with icons like James Brown and Aretha Franklin.

Doors to the even open at 6 p.m., with general admission tickets available at the door for $35.

Attendees must be 18 years and older. La Gala, located at 601 State St., will offer a selection of food and beverages for purchase throughout the evening.

“We are incredibly excited to host a concert of this caliber right here in Bowling Green, and truly grateful to Top Shelf and Tee Dee Young for sharing their talent to benefit our local animals,” said Lorri Hare, BGWCHS executive director.
