Hart County man charged with child sexual exploitation after internet investigation

HORSE CAVE, Ky. – A Hart County man is charged with child sexual exploitation following an internet investigation.
According to Kentucky State Police Public Affairs Officer Katan Parker, the KSP Electronic Crime Branch arrested 45-year-old Stephan Wayne Self, of Horse Cave, Monday afternoon. The arrest followed an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.
A search warrant for a home in Horse Cave was obtained after investigators say Self shared images of child sexual exploitation online.
Parker says the equipment used to commit the alleged crimes was seized and will be examined.
Self was arrested on two counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old. He was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
