AUBURN, Ky. – An Auburn woman is accused of leaving the scene of a wreck while under the influence.

According to a uniform citation, on Wednesday evening, Auburn police were dispatched to a possible wreck on the 400 block of North College Street in Auburn.

Authorities say a caller stated an SUV had hit multiple mailboxes and continued driving. Officers say the caller stated a witness on scene followed the vehicle to get license plate information.

Authorities say the driver, identified as 29-year-old Jaska Nealy of Auburn, smelled of alcoholic beverages. The SUV allegedly had visible damage to the front passenger side.

Police say when asked, Nealy stated she had not consumed anything.

Following Standard Field Sobriety Testing, Nealy was arrested.

Authorities say they located three unopened shooter bottles of vodka in Nealy’s possession.

Officers say the vehicle contained five passengers at the time of the incident. Due to the passengers being minors, additional identifying information will not be released at this time.

Following a blood test, Nealy was transported to the Logan County Detention Center.

She faces one count each of leaving the scene of an accident – failure to render aid or assistance, second-degree criminal mischief, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and failure to produce an insurance card, along with five counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
