Nolin Lake State Park

BEE SPRING, Ky. – Portions of two campgrounds at Nolin River Lake will be closed temporarily.

According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, portions of Moutardier and Dog Creek Campgrounds are closed through July 5 for visitor safety.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says the closures are a result of flooded access roads, campsite inundation, and electrical service being shut off in areas expected to be impacted by rising water.

The following sites will temporarily close:

Moutardier Campground Closures

  • Sites A29–A44: Closed due to road and site inundation
  • Sites C22–C25: Electrical service shut off due to site inundation
  • Sites D28–D36: Closed due to road and site inundation
  • Sites D1–D15: Electrical service shut off due to site inundation

Dog Creek Campground Closures

  • Sites B9–B31: Closed due to road inundation and limited access to campsites
  • Sites C5–C12: Closed due to road and campsite inundation

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says individuals who made reservations for these sites will receive a refund.

The agency also released updates on boat ramps:

  • Iberia, Moutardier, and Dog Creek are currently back-down only.
  • Van Meter Boat Ramp is closed to launching through July 5.
