Medical Marijuana program passes House; PTSD added as qualifying condition

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky House of Representatives recently passed a provision allowing medical marijuana in the state.

The Kentucky House passed an amendment adding PTSD to a list of qualifying conditions for medical marijuana.

Some of the other reasons Kentuckians can use medical marijuana are chronic, debilitating pain, epilepsy, any type or form of cancer.

One Bowling Green pain management doctor says he would like to use medical marijuana to help cancer pains like nausea and vomiting.

However, only time will tell before he decides to administer the drug for chronic pain.

Center for Pain Management doctor Ram Pasupuleti said, “At this time, there is no clear-cut study that says yes it definitely helps or no it does not help.”

The Senate will vote on medical marijuana usage.
