FRANKLIN, Ky. – Multiple people are charged after a reported drug bust on Monday in Simpson County.

According to a release, on Oct. 12, the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force concluded an investigation into the distribution of crystal methamphetamine.

Authorities say they conducted traffic stops on vehicles that left 30 Walker Road in the Gold City community in Franklin.

During that time, authorities say they seized around 76 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine.

One vehicle was occupied by 41-year-old Dustin Kinser and 37-year-old Teresa Kinlaw, who live at 30 Walker Road, authorities say.

Both were transported to the Simpson County Detention Center, where they face charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, drug paraphernalia – deliver/manufacture, tampering with physical evidence and other related charges.

Authorities say Kinser has a “lengthy criminal history” and was on parole.

The agency stated a third person was arrested in the case but has not yet released that individual’s identity.
