Lexington police searching for missing child

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Lexington Police Department says it is searching for a missing child.

According to police, Mia Sheffield, who is 21 months old, was last seen at about 2 p.m. CST Wednesday in the 2800 block of Ark Royal Way.

Authorities say the child walked away from her home.

She is 2 feet tall and around 27 pounds with brown eyes and dark brown hair. She was last seen wearing a white tank top and green watermelon shorts.

Anyone with knowledge of Sheffield’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
