2 charged with drug offenses involving fentanyl, cocaine in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two men are behind bars on several drug-related charges in Bowling Green.
According to a uniform citation, on Thursday evening, the Kentucky State Police observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 165 near the 1-mile marker.
Authorities say the vehicle had excessive window tinting, and one passenger was not wearing a seatbelt. As a result, troopers say they conducted a traffic stop and asked both individuals to exit the vehicle.
The occupants, identified as 34-year-old Tommie Boyce of Bowling Green and 35-year-old Jeffrey Noe of Russellville, were detained.
Troopers say they confirmed the passenger, Boyce, had three warrants. As a result, he was arrested.
The driver, Noe, stated he did not see the cruiser with the lights and sirens activated.
Authorities say cocaine was in plain view in the vehicle.
During a search, authorities say they located two gabapentin pills and a large amount of cash in Boyce’s wallet. During a field test, troopers say one bag of a substance tested positive for fentanyl.
Both individuals were transported to the Warren County Regional Jail.
Boyce is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – fentanyl, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), third-degree possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and failure to wear seat belts, persistent felony offender and failure to appear.
Noe is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance – fentanyl, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), third-degree possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), excessive windshield/window tinting, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, failure to produce insurance card and inadequate silencer (muffler).
