$10.3 million addition to begin construction soon on Logan County Career and Technical Center
LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – After nearly a decade of serving students in Logan County, Russellville and Todd County, the Career and Technical Center will soon begin construction on a new addition to the building.
The addition will cost just over $10.3 million and will be completely covered by a grant awarded to the Logan County Board of Education. With that money, two new labs, diesel technology and plumbing, will take over new career pathways to students who are looking to enter the workforce straight out of high school.
Logan County superintendent Dan Costellow says that the community rallies around efforts like these and provides both support and opportunities to the students learning these new skills.
“I’m really proud of Logan County, not just the school system but the community, the business community. They are big proponents of students not only going to college, but pursuing other careers as well. And so our CTC is really positioned well to train students for jobs that they come out making high two figures, maybe even into three figures very soon. And it’s adding these additional opportunities that we know are big needs in this region, big needs in Logan County is really exciting for us,” Costellow said.
Construction will begin in the next few days and is expected to be completed around the Summer of 2027. Due to the location of the new addition there will not be any expected disruptions to travel in that area.
