Driver, 2 juveniles dead after crash in Barren County

UPDATE May 28 at 6:40 p.m.:
CAVE CITY, Ky. – Two juveniles and one woman are dead following a crash Saturday in Barren County.
In an update, the Kentucky State Police stated the driver, 35-year-old Aleah Kroger of Dayton, Ohio, died at TriStar Skyline Medical Center on Sunday, May 24.
According to authorities, this follows after troopers received a call around 7 a.m. Saturday regarding a collision on Interstate 65 near the 53.2-mile marker.
Troopers say they learned through a preliminary investigation that a SUV driven by Kroger was traveling north on I-65 near the 53-mile marker. While traveling north, authorities say Kroger’s vehicle left the right side of the road and collided with a tractor-trailer that was parked on the right shoulder.
According to authorities, two juvenile passengers in Kroger’s vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
Kroger was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green before she was later taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in critical condition.
Kroger’s death is the latest update in this case.
The investigation is ongoing.
Troopers were assisted on scene by the Cave City Police Department, Cave City Fire Department and Barren County EMS.
