GM Bowling Green Assembly celebrates 45 years

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – GM Bowling Green Assembly and Performance Build Center celebrated 45 years by opening its doors to families.

This past Saturday, Bowling Green Assembly hosted the families of all the employees to a day full of history and experience. Cars were on display for all the families to see such as the 6 model Corvettes that have been produced in Bowling Green in the past 45 year were on display as well as one concept car. The event was held to let the employees show their families their workplace. There were activities for children, self-guided tours, and photo opportunities. Plant director Ray Theriault highlighted how special an event like this is. 

“We are so happy because for 45 years we’ve been building Corvettes from Bowling Green and sending them to the world. It is the only place in the world that makes corvettes and obviously a huge domestic market, a huge export market, and we’re very happy to do that here. from Bowling Green,” says Theriault

The event also invited some close community members to enjoy the experience as well. The event aimed to appreciate the employees, and also bring the community together.

The Bowling Green Assembly and Performance Building Center holds tours all year long.
