Former Hilltoppers tell the stories of legendary WKU coach E.A. Diddle
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – E.A. Diddle is a legendary coach at Western Kentucky University.
For good reason, too.
Diddle coached on the Hill for 42 seasons, becoming one of the winningest coaches in NCAA basketball history.
On Wednesday, four former Hilltoppers and players under Diddle – Darel Carrier, Bobby Rascoe, Jim Richards and Ronnie Clark – told stories from their time with the man who they knew as Mr. Diddle.
Author Gary West spearheaded the panel at the Augustein Alumni Center.
Diddle passed away nearly 50 years ago, but the players said his impact is still be felt in this community.
