Bowling Green holds online auction

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The city of Bowling Green is holding a surplus auction online this week.

Unfortunately Bowling Green isn’t Amazon, so you’ll have to pick it up yourself, but there are some items listed in this quarter’s online auction if you’re looking for a new bike or maybe some bar stools. The city holds an online auction out of their surplus warehouse every quarter, usually every 3 or 4 months of the year to give taxpayers a chance at some items the city doesn’t use anymore.

Surplus items come from city department’s that have outlasted their use for department purposes. If things are still in good condition and department’s feel they can resell them to get some money back into the city’s general fund, they can move their old furniture, trucks or unclaimed items from BGPD’s lost and found to the city’s surplus warehouse.

The auction goes until next Monday, and pick up is on October 7 for auction winners. If you want to get in on the bidding you can head to govdeals.com
