Arkansas Police Chief Resigns After Posting Online Threats

Marshall, Arkansas Police Chief Lang Holland resigns after posing numerous violent threats against Democrats. KARK's Hunter Hoagland reports.

MARSHALL, Ar. (KARK/NBC News) — The police chief of Marshall, Arkansas has resigned after posting violent threats against Democrats on social media.

Marshall Mayor Kevin Elliott confirmed former Police Chief Lang Holland resigned Saturday afternoon.

“We don’t tolerate it, it was uncalled for,” Elliott said of Holland’s posts, which included one calling for “death to Marxist Democrats.”

The posts were made on the social media site Parler. Holland was a part of two groups on the site, “The Patriots” and “Ozark Proud Boys.”
