Service One Credit Union donates $15,000 to SKYCTC Foundation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College Foundation is benefitting from $15,000 thanks to Service One Credit Union.
According to Service One, the donation was presented Thursday in response to SKYCTC’s annual Giving Day as a challenge to other donors.
If 50 gifts were given, then Service One would donate $15,000.
The SKYCTC Foundation plays a vital role as the college’s chief fundraising team, according to Service One. These funds directly benefit programs and activities to empower students, from uniforms to professional development opportunities.
Heather Rogers, executive director of SKYCTC Foundation, shared, “We had a successful Giving Day and exceeded the 50 Donor Challenge to ‘unlock’ the Service One Credit Union gift! We had 92 donors and raised over $24,300 in gifts to benefit our students through scholarships, programs and the Student Emergency Fund and Pathfinder Food Pantry.”
“For Service One Credit Union, supporting education – especially through our involvement with organizations like the SKYCTC Foundation – directly reflects our commitment to our community,” CEO Rebecca Stone stated. “We believe that education is essential for progress, and by investing in initiatives like this, we are fostering the development of our community’s future.”
Service One says it is dedicated to continuing its support for the SKYCTC Foundation and higher education.
