Caldwell County father charged with murder after death of infant

CADIZ, Ky. – A Caldwell County man is charged with murder after the death of his infant.

According to KSP, a report was received on Sept. 26 about a one-month-old infant from Trigg County being found unresponsive and flown to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The infant later died.

Following an autopsy and investigation, KSP arrested 22-year-old Givonte T. Riley, the infant’s father, and charged him with murder.

Riley was lodged at the Christian County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
