Russellville High School target of social media threat
RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – On Sunday, a social media threat was made against Russellville High School.
In a letter to the community, Russellville Independent School District superintendent Kyle Estes says the administration was made aware of a social media threat made by a 9th-grade student.
Russellville police were dispatched to the student’s home and arrested the student.
An investigation of the incident is active.
Estes said when the investigation is completed, appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken following the district’s code of conduct.
“Any threat, whether made in person or online, is taken with the utmost seriousness and will result in immediate intervention, including law enforcement involvement as necessary,” says Estes.
