Remembering Larry Piper, long-time employee and friend of Allen County

ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. – Larry Piper died this weekend and is sure to be missed by many in the area.

Co-workers remember Piper fondly, saying he always looked out for them. Piper was a caring man according to his friends, always willing to lend a helping hand where needed.

Piper worked for Allen County government for 27 years and during that time, was a friend to everyone, as said by Allen County judge-executive Dennis Harper.

The retired jailer and transfer director was an avid fisherman who loved getting out on the lake and will be leaving quite a space in the community.
