FRANKLIN, Ky. – The Franklin-Simpson Arts Council is bringing a Christmas classic to life.

Next month, the group says it will perform a live radio play of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at the Roxy Theatre in Franklin on Saturday, Dec. 14.

During a live radio play, organizers say actors “use their voices to convey emotion and tension,” along with live sound effects.

The Franklin-Simpson Arts Council describes the play as a story following George Bailey, a man living in a small town whose Christmas is saved his a guardian angel named Clarence. Bailey realizes his impact on the community and how much he is valued.

In addition, organizers say a meal will be catered by Brickyard Cafe, with tickets costing $35 for both the dinner and the play.

Doors will open at 5 p.m., dinner will start at 6 p.m. and the play will start at 7 p.m.
