Edmonson County Water District issues boil water advisory

EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky. – The Edmonson County Water District is under a boil water advisory until further notice.
On Tuesday, May 28, the company stated it issued the boil water advisory because the potential exists for bacteriological contamination due to low pressure or no pressure because of a main line leak.
The water district says affected areas include Segal Road from American Rock Road, including all side roads.
The advisory will remain in effect until water samples have been taken and the threat of contamination has been eliminated to the satisfaction of the Environmental Protection Agency, according to the water district.
The water district says customers must boil water to a full boil for at least three minutes.
If there are any questions, you may call the district’s office at 270-597-2165.
