Glasgow Police Department issues statement remembering Trooper Hayden Phillips

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department released a statement remembering Trooper Hayden Phillips.

Before serving as a trooper for the Kentucky State Police, Phillips began his law enforcement career at the Glasgow Police Department.

In Memory of Trooper Hayden Phillips, Unit 369

There are moments when words simply are not enough.

Trooper Hayden Phillips began his law enforcement career right here at the Glasgow Police Department in 2019. He was our Unit 37. He served our community. He worked beside us. He was our friend.

Hayden went on to serve the Commonwealth as a Kentucky State Police Trooper assigned to Post 3 in Bowling Green. No matter where his career took him, we remained proud to call him one of our own. This loss is especially personal to the men and women of our department.

Today, our hearts are broken.

We grieve alongside Hayden’s family, his loved ones, his brothers and sisters at the Kentucky State Police, and every person whose life was touched by his service and friendship.

The loss of a law enforcement officer is felt far beyond the agency whose uniform they wear. It is felt by every officer who understands the risks of answering the next call, by every family who watches someone they love leave for another shift, and by the communities they have sworn to protect.

In the difficult days ahead, we will stand beside his family and our brothers and sisters at the Kentucky State Police. We will honor Hayden not only for the sacrifice he made, but for the life he lived, the friendships he made, and the service he gave.

The badge may change.

The uniform may change.

Family does not.
