WKU Students vote to cancel classes on Election Day

Students at Western Kentucky University may have an additional day off this semester.

The Student Government Association voted unanimously Thursday, 15-0, to cancel classes on November 6, which is Election Day.

The board also voted unanimously to spend $300 on merchandise, like signs and t-shirts, to promote the importance of getting out to vote.

The Western Kentucky University Board of Regents will have the final say on whether to cancel classes.
