Winter weather delivers travel chaos

(NBC News) The rush to get home after the Thanksgiving holiday has slowed to a crawl for thousands stuck in airports and along roadways across the country.

The first major snowstorm of the season is delivering chaos on roadways and in packed airports.

As the system continues to move to the Northeast forecasters expect heavy snow from Pennsylvania through Maine.

A state of emergency is in place in New York City, where the storm is expected to be at it’s worst during the afternoon rush hour.
