Section of Burkesville Road down to one lane after trailer unhooks

UPDATE: The lanes have been re-opened.

GLASGOW, Ky. – A section of Burkesville Road is currently closed to one lane.

According to Barren County Sheriff’s Office public information officer Mike Houchens, a semi trailer was hauling corn around 10 a.m. when the trailer became unhooked.

As a result, the trailer ended up in a ditch, Houchens said. Officials have been working to unload the corn to recover the trailer.

One lane of travel is open and is being directed by deputies on scene.

The scene may not be cleared until the next couple of hours, according to officials.
