Search warrant leads to recovery of seven stolen vehicles in Hadley area

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Following a Thursday search in Hadley, Warren County Sheriff’s deputies recovered seven stolen vehicles at a piece of property in the Hadley community, Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower.

Deputies obtained a warrant to search 1900 Hadley Sharer Road, the home of Larry Dale Gidcumb, where they found weapons and stolen vehicles, Hightower said.

Gidcumb had left the area prior to the sheriff’s office arrival.

A warrant for Gidcumb is pending. The warrant accuses him of five counts of theft by unlawful taking, two counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and five counts of receiving stolen property, Hightower said.

The agency is currently looking for Gidcumb.

The Bowling Green Police Department drone operators assisted in the search, Hightower said.

The vehicles recovered had been reported stolen to the Bowling Green Police Department, the sheriff’s office, the Kentucky State Police and at least one other area law enforcement agency.
