Road shut down in Clarksville after reported shooting

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A portion of Tylertown Road in Clarksville is shut down due to a reported shooting, according to police on Monday morning.

The Clarksville Police Department says around 10:17 a.m., officers responded to the reported shooting at a residence on Samantha Lane. Authorities say it appears to be a domestic-related incident, and one adult female was shot.

The victim’s condition in unknown at this time.

Police say Tylertown Road is shut down between Samantha Lane and Clarksville Fire Rescue Station 11.

Traffic is being diverted onto Roscommon Way, authorities say.

Officers say all of those involved are cooperating with law enforcement. At this time, police say there is no threat to the public.

The investigation remains ongoing. No additional details have been released at this time.
