Nolin River boat ramp reopens to boaters

The Nolin River boat ramp has officially reopened.

Officials from Mammoth Cave National Park, the Army Corps of Engineers and the Edmonson County Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon Tuesday on the renovated ramp.

For the last two years, boaters have not had any access to the Nolin River.

In November 2016 Lock no. 6 and dam breached. More than a year later, when the dam was demolished, the river level dropped significantly.

Now, small boats, canoers, and kayakers can utilize the ramp.
