Man accused of holding woman against her will

A Bowling Green man is accused of holding a woman against her will inside of a trailer without water or electricity.

Wednesday, a Warren County grand jury indicted Anthony Watkins, 46, 834 B Lynnwood Way, on unlawful imprisonment, third-degree burglary, possession of burglar’s tools and first-degree persistent felony offender.

A woman called for help from 363 Shanty Hollow Road Aug. 6. When Kentucky State Police troopers arrived, she told them Watkins held her against her will for several days and locked her up in a brown trailer on the property, according to his initial arrest citation.

Police saw Watkins at the rear a gray Dodge Durango. In the cargo area where Watkins was standing, police found a loaded handgun, according to his arrest citation.

The woman who made the call to police also provided police with information about a burglary at 369 Shanty Hollow Road. Police found burglary tools in Watkins’ possession, according to his citation.

He is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond.
