KHSAA Board of Control Votes to Begin Fall Sports

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The KHSAA’s Board of Control voted in favor of keeping its original plan in place, which will allow high school sports teams to return to practice on August 24th and begin competitions in September.

Thursday morning’s special session featured three different options for the Board of Control to vote on, but ultimately members elected to approve the plan that was put together during last month’s meeting.

Although the Board of Control has officially made its official approval, the plan will now move forward to public health officials, the Kentucky Department of Education and the Kentucky Department of Public Health.

The Board plans to meet again in September to discuss the postseasons in all fall sports.
