Jewish candidate targeted with swastika graffiti

(KVEO/NBC News) Police in Brownsville, Texas are investigating anti-Semitic vandalism that targeted a candidate running for city commissioner.

A swastika and devil horns were scrawled on a sign belonging to Nurith Galonsky. Galonsky, a Brownsville native, is Jewish.

“The horns and the swastika are usually used to attack Jews, to make him feel less,” she says.

Galonsky says she plans to leave the sign in place until the election.
