Kentucky State Police Post 3 to conduct traffic safety checkpoints

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police Post Three is providing a reminder to local drivers regarding traffic safety checkpoints.

The agency says it will be conducting the checkpoints throughout the Post Three district, which includes Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Simpson and Warren counties.

According to KSP, during this time, troopers will check drivers for compliance with motor vehicle laws, including driving under the influence.

In addition, troopers say they will be looking for equipment deficiencies, confirming appropriate registration and insurance of vehicles and valid licensing of drivers. Violations of law or other public safety issues that arise shall also be addressed.
