DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — Tua Tagovailoa threw five interceptions in practice as the Miami Dolphins opened mandatory minicamp. Worse, all those giveaways came with the player who picked off more passes than anyone else in the NFL last season nowhere to be found. Xavien Howard was a no-show for the first day of minicamp, which coach Brian Flores called “a contract situation.” Flores says the Dolphins have had talks internally about Howard’s contract that already was reworked two years ago. But even Flores sounded unsure of when — or if — Howard would be arriving for the three-day camp. The first practice was held in an absolute downpour. Footballs were wet and players were slipping. Jacoby Brissett threw a pair of interceptions as well.
