According to the release, the two Glasgow Rotary Club Scholarships were created over 20 years ago and are awarded yearly by the Glasgow Rotary Club to one graduating senior from each school.
The recipients were selected through a competitive application process evaluating academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, leadership and dedication to service.
“Each of these students represents the very best of our community,” said Jamie McFarlin, president of the Glasgow Rotary Club. “Their commitment to service and leadership gives us great confidence in the future and we are honored to be a part of their continued educational journey.”
The Glasgow Rotary Club has a long tradition of supporting education and youth through scholarships. These annual scholarships are made possible through the annual Rotary Auction that occurs in the fall of each year.
The 2026 Auction will occur in November. Scholarships will be formally presented at the April 23 meeting of the Glasgow Rotary Club. The families of the scholarship winners are welcome to join us for the lunch meeting on that date.
