Glasgow police arrest Bowling Green man on multiple criminal charges

GLASGOW, Ky. – Glasgow police arrested a man wanted by police in Bowling Green for questioning in a reported robbery.

Tuesday afternoon a police officer located a vehicle and a man matching the description of vehicle released by police in Bowling Green, according to a release from the Glasgow Police Department.

The officer saw the vehicle on Humble Avenue and attempted a traffic stop. The driver failed to stop and turned eastbound on East Main Street and continued about three and a half miles on Burkesville Road before coming to a stop.
Officers said they found syringes, digital scales, suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a 9 mm handgun inside the vehicle, according to the release. Officers also confirmed the vehicle was stolen.
Stephen H. Flaherty, of Bowling Green, was arrested and charged with operating on suspended or revoked operators license, second-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree wanton endangerment police officer, receiving stolen property $10,000, first-degree possession of a control substance third or greater offense (methamphetamine), possession drug paraphernalia, possession of handgun by a convicted felon.
Flaherty was also served with probation violation and failure to appear warrants.
