DECISION 2020: Trump Zeros in on the Economy

President Trump travels to Iowa, looking to shore up support in the heartland, as he and Democrat Joe Biden prepare for dueling televised town halls tomorrow night. NBC's Alice Barr reports from Washington, DC.

(NBC News) — President Trump zeroing in on the economy in online remarks to the economic clubs of several major U.S. cities stating, “The choice facing America is simple, a choice between historic prosperity on pro-American policies, deep depression under the radical left.”

The President, keen to shift attention to the economy where his approval ratings remain high, has low ratings on the pandemic as coronavirus cases are on the rise across the country.

In a statement today, democratic rival Joe Biden declaring President Trump doesn’t have a plan to get the virus under control saying the President heads to Iowa to, “spread more lies about the pandemic and distract from his record of failure.”
