Carly Pearce to sing National Anthem at 2023 Kentucky Derby

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky native Carly Pearce has announced she will be performing the National Anthem at the 149th Kentucky Derby.
In a social media post, Pearce says this achievement is a “bucket list moment” for her.
According to the artist’s website, Pearce left her Kentucky home at 16 before becoming a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter.

Pearce is known for work such as “What He Didn’t Do,” “I Hope You’re Happy Now” and “Never Wanted to be that Girl” and has won several CMA Awards, the website says.
