Burn ban issued for Barren County

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Barren County Judge-Executive Michael Hale has issued a burn ban for the entire county beginning July 5.

According to a release, the burn ban requires residents to not light or maintain an open fire at any location in Barren County while the ban is in effect. However, the ban has an exception for campfires at established campgrounds.

Any person who violates the ban will face fines and penalties. The ban will be in effect until further notice.
