SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force says it is reopening a case of a 7-year-old girl that died in Allen County as a homicide investigation.

According to a release by the agency on Tuesday, in early October 2026, detectives advanced the investigation into the death of 7-year-old Revelin Meador, who died on August 1, 2020.

Authorities say she was found dead on Celsor Road in Fountain Run, Kentucky.

Following the recovery and analysis of newly secured information and evidence, detectives say they have officially reclassified this case. Authorities say it is now being actively pursued as a homicide case.

According to authorities, Detective Robert Smith will be leading this investigation.

The task force says it is moving “deliberately through the newly acquired data and is calling on the public to help finalize the timeline.”

If you lived near, traveled or visited Celsor Road around August 2020, even the smallest detail you remember could solidify the final pieces of this case, authorities say.

“To those who have carried knowledge of this crime or protected those responsible: the circle of information is tightening. Relationships change, alliances fade, and secrets become a liability. We are actively speaking with individuals connected to this case, and the window to come forward voluntarily is rapidly closing. The choice to cooperate and control your own narrative is yours before that choice is taken away from you entirely,” the agency stated.

The Allen County Scottsville Crime Task Force says it “will not rest, stall, or back down until those responsible face the full weight of the law. Let it be completely clear to the community and to those hiding from the truth: this unit operates with zero tolerance for delays, and we will exhaust every resource, follow every lead, and tear down every wall to secure absolute justice for Revelin Meador.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the task force immediately by emailing r.smith@scottsvillepolice.org.
