Shoplifting complaint leads to drug arrest
GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department responded to Walmart Wednesday in reference to a shoplifting complaint.
Officers made contact with Brittany Watson and Donnie Gregory Jr. in the parking lot and received consent to a search. Officers said the two exited the store with unpaid items and all of the stolen items were returned to Walmart, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
Officers received a consent to search of the vehicle and located hydrocodone, methamphetamine and syringes.
Watson of Portland Tenn., was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance hydrocodone, first-degree possession of a controlled first offense (methamphetamine), prescription controlled substance not in proper container first offense and possession drug paraphernalia.
Gregory of Old Hickory Tenn., was arrested and charged with with first-degree possession of a controlled substance hydrocodone, prescription controlled substance not in proper container first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft by unlawful taking or disposition shoplifting.
