Railroad serial killer survivor speaks at The SKyPAC

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The only survivor of the infamous railroad serial killer spoke Bowling Green Tuesday night. Holly K. Dunn’s life was forever changed on a Friday in 1997.

Dunn and her boyfriend, Chris Maier, were walking along railroad tracks in Lexington on their way home from a party when they were attacked by the railroad serial killer.

Her boyfriend Chris was beaten to death in front of her eyes. Dunn was then stabbed, raped and left to die.

Dunn was able to help seek justice for herself, Chris and the 22 other victims.

“I focus on the positive that’s come and why I am still alive,” Dunn said.

Now Dunn finds strength through the pain and uses her story to empower others.

The Women’s Fund of South Central Kentucky organized the free event to bring Dunn to Bowling Green where she spoke to a rapt audience at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center.
