Guthrie announces federal funding for Edmonson County Water District
Kentucky Congressman Brett Guthrie has announced the Edmonson County Water District will be receiving some federal funding.
Guthrie says the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office will award a $258,000 grant and a $1.032 million dollar loan to the District.
The investment from the U.S.D.A. will be used to construct approximately 4.5 miles of water lines that will interconnect with existing lines and to install new hydrants and leak detection meters.
Guthrie says the grant and loan package will improve service for more than 10,400 Edmonson County residents.
