SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Tennessee man is behind bars after a reported pursuit through Scottsville Monday night.

According to a uniform citation, the Kentucky State Police was notified Monday just after 7:30 p.m. about a pursuit traveling toward town on Holland Road.

According to the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force, near Holland Road, drug task force agents had attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle related to a narcotics investigation. Deputies with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office tried to initiate the traffic stop, at which time authorities say the vehicle began fleeing Westbound on Holland Road.

Troopers say the pursuit later passed an intersection on Old Gallatin Road.

Authorities say KSP joined as the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and the drug task force were pursuing a vehicle.

According to troopers, the driver, identified as 32-year-old Jordan Johnson of La Vergne, Tennessee, traveled through town, running several drivers off of the road. During the pursuit, authorities say a tire deflation device was successfully deployed.

Authorities say a trooper was given lead in the pursuit and performed legal intervention as the pursuit was nearing the Tennessee line.

After the trooper’s cruiser pinned the vehicle, Johnson exited and was arrested.

Authorities say Johnson had rammed an undercover drug task force truck during the pursuit.

In addition, authorities say several objects had been thrown out the window of the fleeing vehicle.

According to the drug task force, a K-9 gave a positive alert on the vehicle, which led to the discovery of methamphetamine, fentanyl and marijuana. Authorities say they also located a large amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the area where the objects were thrown.

Johnson remains at the Allen County Detention Center on charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief and reckless driving. He is also charged with importing carfentanil, fentanyl or fentanyl derivatives, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – deliver/manufacture, trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (fentanyl), tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana and persistent felony offender II.
