4 Things You Need to Know: December 19, 2025
- Take your pick from a variety of Christmas movies screening at the Capitol theatre this weekend. Tonight at 5pm, see the 1951 classic film “A Christmas Carol,” followed by “It’s A Wonderful Life” at 7pm. Saturday, you can catch Gremlins at noon, National Lampoon’s Christmas vacation at 2pm, Die Hard at 4pm, and Eyes Wide Shut at 7. Admission is free.
- If you are in Franklin, bring the family out for a comfy night at the movies. They will have chairs or you can bring your own for more comfort. Each $10 ticket includes hot chocolate, popcorn, cookie decorating, and a craft. This all takes place tonight at the Franklin Simpson High School cafeteria at 6:30pm.
- Tis the season for Hilltopper Basketball as the tops take on Tulsa. Don’t miss decking the hill in red and white, entering their ugly sweater contest and visiting with Santa for some holiday fun. You also won’t want to miss the teddy bear toss for Toys for Tots. Fans who donate a toy or stuffed bear can receive a $10 ticket. That’s tonight beginning at 6:30pm.
