  • The Simpson County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is hosting a Veterans Day ceremony today at 11am at the U.S. Post office in Franklin. The community is invited to the ceremony or to visit anytime during the day to pay their respects.
  • Today at 1 p.m. in Morgantown, the VFW Post 5837 Auxiliary is hosting a Veterans Day Parade. Line up begins at noon at the cemetery and concludes at Smith’s Funeral Home.
  • Today at noon in Glasgow, the Barren County Veterans Association is hosting a veteran’s day ceremony at the Cultural Center.
  • Also in Glasgow this evening, the Barren County Veterans Association has planned a special veterans day dinner to honor those who have served and continue to serve. Doors open at 6pm with dinner at 7pm. It’s $10 to attend, but there is no charge for veterans.
