4 Things You Need to Know: July 29, 2025

• The Hot Rods are back in town today. Tonight they’ll be taking on the Aberdeen Ironbirds, the Orioles’ Single-A affiliate. And of course, today is Tail Waggin’ Tuesday, to be sure to bring your furry friends to the ballpark.
• July movies at The Capitol are at the beginning of the end, as today is their second-to-last showing. At 12:30 later today, they will be showing ‘Where the Wild Things are’. The last movie at The Capitol is tomorrow night.
• Be sure to register for this year’s Scotty’s Pound the Pavement and help out our friends at Kentucky Kids on the Block. It’s happening on August 9th this year. You can click here for more info.
• If you’re looking to pick up a new sport, how about roller derby? Tonight at 6 pm, the Vette City Roller Derby will host a boot camp for those interested in learning more about the sport. Just be sure to grab your helmet and knee pads before you hit the rink.
