SKYCTC receives support from Houchens Food Group for Pathfinder Pantry

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College is thanking Houchens Food Group for a donation of food items to the Pathfinder Pantry.
Through the SKYCTC Foundation, a formal partnership has started between SKYCTC and Houchens Food Group. As part of this joint effort, Houchens has committed to donating food items annually, with contributions throughout the year.
Officials say the first part of this support was delivered on Tuesday at SKYCTC’s Main Campus on Loop Drive in Bowling Green.
According to a release by SKYCTC, the pantry was created to provide essential food to SKYCTC students in need, helping them to stay focused on academic and career success without the burden of hunger.
The release states that Houchens learned about the pantry through its connection to SKYCTC’s Workforce Solutions division.
“Houchens Food Group’s generosity will directly impact the well-being and academic success of our students,” said Dr. David Travis, director of student life and engagement at SKYCTC. “We are incredibly thankful for their continued support—not only through leadership development but also through their investment in the daily lives of our students.”
