Glasgow police confirm no active shooting occurred at Glasgow Pride event

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department has confirmed no active shooting or injuries took place during a Pride event Sunday.

Major Terry Flatt with GPD stated the department had individuals asking about an active shooter or shooting at the event at Beaver Trail Park.

Flatt has confirmed there was no active shooter or shooting at the Pride event held Sunday in Glasgow.

He further stated the shots originated from someone across the creek shooting on private property that could be heard from the event.

“There were no immediate threats towards anyone at the park, ” Flatt stated. He says the department had several units working the Pride event as well.

“Extra units did respond to the area when that call was given out,” Flatt stated. “There were no arrest or injuries. Officers did make contact with the people shooting on private property.”
