What Could BG Be? Public report now available

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – You can now find out what the residents of Warren County would like to see for the future of our community.

If you’ve been following News 40’s coverage of What Could BG Be?, you may have participated by sharing your opinion or hearing what others want to see by 2050 in Warren County.

Now you can view the results, which are available here.

This report provides a summary of data collection from what the community answered when asked “what could BG be?”

In total, the report states over the course of 33 days, local residents weighed in 1,034,868 times on the future of the county.

As far as topics go, 3,940 unique ideas were submitted, with 12 topics and 70 subtopics, according to the report. The results state some of these include infrastructure and transportation, economic development, arts and culture ideas, and much more.

In particular, the report states that “volunteers for the BG 2050 Project will use this report and the ideas gathered from the community during What Could BG Be? to make recommendations to Warren County leadership as they proactively plan for the next 25 years. Project volunteers will deliver their recommendations in late 2025.”

In the meantime, the report says the public availability of these ideas presents an opportunity for the community to make them a reality in the near future. News 40 will continue to follow developments on this project as they are released.
